“SMARAGDAS” blazer

“I’m not a blazer person” — this statement, heard countless times throughout my 15-year V&V journey, still echoes in my ears.

We keep moving forward with those “not blazer people” and “not suit people” year after year, and suddenly, looking around, I see that many of those who once said “beautiful, but not for me” are now not only wearing blazers but confidently stepping out in full suits as well.

I try to stay objective and often lovingly tease those who, at the beginning of their V&V journey, were afraid of blazers and suits “like the devil fears the cross.”
And now — they love them “to the moon and back.”

Finally, we are managing to pull out those deeply rooted stereotypes by the roots: that blazers are only suitable for offices, and that suits automatically add at least a decade to our appearance.
