“Honey” Blazer

Lately, I have found myself completely captivated by the construction of trench coats. I simply adore the characteristic “shoulder tabs” and structured details they have, so while creating this collection, I shared my vision with our production and pattern-making team:

I want a trench coat blazer.

And I quickly added an explanatory note:

Since this is a summer garment, it should be made from a lightweight suiting fabric — something comfortable even on warm days. At the same time, the fabric couldn’t be too soft or “flowy”, because the garment needed to hold its shape and, most importantly, allow us to incorporate that signature trench coat-inspired back shoulder detail.

We also had another goal for this piece — it had to perfectly match trousers made from the same fabric and create an unexpected, non-boring suit combination.

Sounds like an easy task, right?

But we love challenges. Especially when we have time.

This time, we didn’t have much of it, yet somehow we managed to remake the garment three times because something always felt not quite right.

But finally, I stood in front of the mirror, completely happy and smiling — I think we made it work.

A blazer that has wandered far away from traditional classics, carrying a subtle safari-style spirit, it is ready to become a true hero of summer outfits.
