The sister’s order
“Mom,” Patricija stops, sniffing,
“would you like to have another baby?”
Not even a second passes before I shake my head firmly, saying:
“Enough for now.
Plenty.
More than enough.”
“But what would you do if another one grew in your belly?” she asks, smiling sweetly.
“I’d love it,” I sigh.
“Just like me, Daminukas, and Mykolas?” she lists the captains of my heart.
“Absolutely,” I start laughing.
“Then okay,” she nods, “I want to order another baby.”
Only this time—a little sister.
