About Family and Mushrooms
PA, while picking mushrooms in the forest, keeps kneeling next to a little group of squirrels. She gathers them all, inspects each one carefully, and tries, as cautiously as possible, to place them in her bucket without “breaking apart” the family. She finds a “half-grown” five-member family, and then neighbors—a group of three.
Finding four squirrels huddled together, she squeals:
“Look, Mom, here we are!!!
Me—I’m tiny.
Do—a bit bigger.
You, Mom, medium-sized.
And the biggest—‘Squirrel Dad.’”
With great pride, she places “our family” into the basket.
“Gotta be careful,” she mutters to herself,
“Imagine if a DAminykas broke off…”
“…neither this nor that,” she adds, hopping off to hunt for more mushroom families.
For the families.
Unimaginable without a single one.
