And here she is — the biggest little rebel of this collection, the one that tested our patience and made us reconstruct her FOUR times.

The fact that a garment often needs several rounds of improvement during the creative process is nothing new to us. However, having a design demand four complete transformations is something we rarely encounter.

But, after giving it more thought, perhaps the dress itself was not the true culprit — maybe it was the person “conducting” its creation process.

Because for many years, I have followed one simple rule when creating collections: “Do not add a garment to the collection that you would not want to welcome into your own wardrobe.”

And this rule does its job.

The three versions of this dress that came before did not have anything particularly wrong with them. But if, while looking in the mirror wearing a new piece, you cannot say something truly wonderful about it — then it simply does not deserve a place in the collection.

And so, on the fourth attempt, she was born — the “little” black dress, decorated with beautiful yet subtle details on the cuffs (which can also be turned inside out for a different look).

Modest, but perfectly ready to let a woman shine when styled with elegant shoes and a clutch.

This is a dress that, after wearing it to a celebration, will not need to spend months hanging in the wardrobe waiting for the next special occasion. Quite the opposite — it is so easygoing and versatile that it will happily wait to be “put to work” in your everyday outfits.
