for a (not) hard morning
“Is it hard for you?” you used to ask.
“Oh come on, how could it be easy,” I’d shake my head,
“there’s a ‘living whirlwind’ at home who:
climbs everywhere,
grabs everything,
‘manages’ everything,
rearranges everything into an order only he understands,
picks things off,
breaks them,
spills them,
tears them,
scatters them everywhere.”
And if you asked me that same question now—
just
after a week away from home—
my answer would be completely upside down.
I’m sitting here with My wriggling in my lap and thinking:
it really doesn’t take much for a person to change their mind
and realize
how good things used to be back then—
when I was sighing about it all 😀
