With Queens and Kings
“Daminykai, come on, let’s play kingdom,” Pa comes in carrying two crown headbands.
“I’ll be the queen with the golden crown, and you—the king with the silver one,” the five-year-old sister proudly announces the brilliance of her idea.
“No.”
“Okay, I can give you the gold one,” she says, holding both in her hands.
“Really, no.”
“The kingdom can be my room or yours. And my dolls can be princesses too, I think I still had a purple crown somewhere,” the “queen” rummages through her endless toy treasures.
The almost ten-year-old brother lifts his eyes, 100+ “Really NO” written in them.
“You never want to play fun games,” complains the sister, splashing in her shoes.
And soon, outside… the king appears!
There’s no situation without a solution.
There just isn’t, right?
Have a Saturday
With queens, kings,
In your home kingdoms.
