Big brother Do is getting ready to celebrate his 13th birthday.
\nHe\u2019s handing out invitations to his buddies.
\nBut it seems like he\u2019s skipping his \u201csister.\u201d<\/p>\n
Yesterday, a conversation happens:<\/p>\n
\u201cDominykai, so am I invited to your birthday?\u201d
\n\u201cNo,\u201d Do smiles.
\n\u201cThen I won\u2019t give you anything either\u2026,\u201d Patricija declares proudly.<\/p>\n
Do smiles even wider:
\n\u201cI\u2019ll somehow survive without your cards with hearts and rainbows.\u201d<\/p>\n
Patricija thinks for a moment.
\n\u201cWell, I don\u2019t necessarily have to draw one.
\nI could buy something useful with my savings\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
Her brother smiles to himself.<\/p>\n
This morning, after waking up, Patricija rushes over to me:
\n\u201cMom,\u201d she whispers, \u201ccan you walk me to \u2018KOTAS\u2019 after school?\u201d
\n(a fishing supplies store),
\n\u201cI want to buy Dominykas something useful.\u201d<\/p>\n
In her little palm, I see 3 euros pressed tight.
\nTwo ladies are going to buy \u201cworms.\u201d<\/p>\n
Though I\u2019m not even sure they won\u2019t exceed the \u201cbudget\u201d set for her brother.<\/p>\n
