{"id":17537,"date":"2020-01-12T16:11:19","date_gmt":"2020-01-12T13:11:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/viktorijos.lt\/istorija\/savaitgalis-baigtas\/"},"modified":"2026-03-19T12:31:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T09:31:12","slug":"weekend-complete","status":"publish","type":"istorija","link":"https:\/\/viktorijos.lt\/en\/story\/weekend-complete\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend complete."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A short evacuation plan executed to the fullest.<\/p>\n<p>As I stuffed my belongings into my backpack, I got a little annoyed at how weekends fly by like short films, while weekdays drag on at the pace of multi-season TV series.<\/p>\n<p>But I got over it.<\/p>\n<p>Because I had finished packing all the things I had brought:<\/p>\n<p>Tracksuits<br \/>\nThermal shirt<br \/>\nSweater<br \/>\nMascara<br \/>\nToothbrush<br \/>\nTwo pairs of shoes<br \/>\nBag of underwear<br \/>\nThat\u2019s it.<br \/>\nI adore these \u201cunplanned\u201d trips, without a ton of stuff to \u201cSORT THROUGH.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, I sat like a cupcake \u201cplaced gently\u201d on my husband\u2019s fishing chair, wrapped in a woolen blanket knitted by Mom\u2026 and tried to breathe in everything I could.<\/p>\n<p>I absorbed the slow, rippling calm of the sea.<br \/>\nI gathered all the winter sun rays that peeked from behind the clouds.<br \/>\nI caressed the swaying grasses.<br \/>\nMy eyes darted over millions of pebbles as if searching for even one \u201cheart-shaped\u201d stone\u2014and I found it!<\/p>\n<p>We walked, hand in hand, fingers intertwined, to the neighboring country and back.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, we watched the red sun, shy as if embarrassed, set.<br \/>\nA sun we wouldn\u2019t see on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>That morning, the storm roared.<br \/>\nYesterday\u2019s glassy sea had turned into foamy waves, whipped by wind that came like a nine-headed dragon.<\/p>\n<p>We stood together, gripping the earth almost with our toes, wearing everything we had brought, probably looking from the side like we had been driven from home.<\/p>\n<p>The howling wind burned our cheeks, which in the evening take on the color of steaming borscht in a bowl\u2026<br \/>\nLike a big old \u201cblanket,\u201d thoughts jumbled under a huge hood settled into the right little drawers, more orderly than before.<\/p>\n<p>We returned both well.<br \/>\nColleagues, in work and in life.<br \/>\nWe joked that the trip could count as a productive business trip, during which we pieced together so many strategic plans that now, in my mind\u2014freed from unnecessary thoughts\u2014spark and explode into fireworks of making those plans real, tingling with anticipation for all the GOOD AND BEAUTY still to come.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, dive into unplanned things\u2014<br \/>\nThey are often the most productive!<\/p>\n<p>V.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-17537","istorija","type-istorija","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/viktorijos.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/istorija\/17537","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/viktorijos.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/istorija"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/viktorijos.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/istorija"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/viktorijos.lt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=17537"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
