A quilted vest is a true four-season wardrobe staple. In fact, the only thing it doesn’t pair with is another quilted vest.

On chilly days, it layers perfectly under a coat. During summer, when warm afternoons turn into cool evenings, it’s the piece you’ll instinctively reach for before heading out to watch the sunset. And as for spring and autumn—it takes center stage without question.

This season, we’re introducing something we’ve never created before: **”Blue-Eyed.”**

A shade of blue so captivating, it’s almost impossible to resist.

That thought started turning the little wheels in my head, and the first name that came to mind was… “MULTIFUNCTIONAL.”

And honestly, it described the functionality of this model perfectly.

But when I let my thoughts wander further into the more poetic side of naming, I decided that while the name was accurate, it felt a little too “not us” — it simply did not have that special flavour.

So, while renaming it with a more charming colour-inspired name, I decided that in my little story about this vest, I absolutely had to mention one important thing: this vest is 3-in-1.

Feeling cold? Wear it with the faux-fur hood attached.
Feels too warm? Remove the fur trim from the hood.
Feels too sporty? The hood itself can also be detached.
These three different warmth and styling options give it a true multifunctional character — one that remains unchanged, even after giving it a more poetic name.

Although… I am not entirely sure whether “Kaktusas” (Cactus) sounds like the softest and most feminine name.

But it sounds smart, doesn’t it?

And it matches its beautiful green character perfectly.

Only a STRAWBERRY puffer vest, right?

A long time ago, when the red colour trend was just beginning to appear, I was wandering around shops looking for shoes when my eyes caught a red puffer vest.

I grabbed it immediately — like a lucky find — without even trying it on.

At that time, I thought: “No matter how much I personally love THIS red colour, I wonder if we would ever dare to create a vest in such a shade for the V&V collection. Perhaps someone would love it, but probably only a few…”

That was what I thought back then.

Not so much time has passed since that moment, and while planning this MUST HAVE collection dedicated to puffer vests, one of the very first pieces to receive its ticket was exactly BRAŠKĖ (STRAWBERRY).

Why?

Because after looking at red very cautiously in the beginning, lately I can see and feel that we could almost start a “CHILI PEPPER LOVERS CLUB.”

It is lightweight, which means it fits perfectly under blazers and coats — a feature that becomes especially valuable during cooler seasons.

On the other hand, this same quality makes it a true summer companion too: paired with white shorts or light sleeveless pieces, you can continue your friendship with it for a long, long time.

I promise.

Throughout the entire history of V&V, we have created only ONE black puffer vest — and that was back in 2022.

After that vest, we received many messages: “What should those who missed it do?” But we simply kept raising our shoulders and did not rush to offer replacements or rescue plans.

For exactly four years.

It became such a beloved part of everyday outfits that whenever we discuss creating another puffer vest for a collection, our eyes first turn to this construction as the foundation — and only then do we start adding changes and improvements.

But sometimes those new ideas simply cannot surpass the original “good old” FREDO.

That is why, in our in-between Must Have collections — created to answer “I missed it” moments or “I really wanted it but didn’t get there in time” requests — we allow ourselves to bring back the pieces that have proven themselves the most in our creative journey.

I am writing this and my thoughts are already spinning — how did it happen that, while being such devoted powder pink colour ambassadors, throughout our creative journey we have never created a short puffer vest in this beautiful shade?

True, in the earlier years of our work, we did have a longer silhouette vest in a brighter shade, but lately there has been such a strong desire to wear and style shorter versions that the longer ones simply need a little rest… and perhaps one day we will miss them enough to bring them back.

And now, this already beloved model in its powder pink version is here — incredibly functional and easy to adapt to outfits of many different styles.

Every year, like a little child, I look forward to warmer seasons. Yet there is always one small thought that makes me a little sad: with the arrival of warmer weather, I have to “peel myself away” from my beloved jackets and coats, step out of my favourite boots and sturdy shoes.

And this is always the moment when I stop and think:

“Thank goodness for puffer vests — pieces that do not have to leave your outfits all year round.”

In the Spring 2026 collection, we are arriving with a new addition and inviting a rich burgundy shade into your wardrobes. Knowing that a faux leather jacket is one of those incredibly versatile pieces for the upcoming spring and summer seasons, we decided that this new colour deserved a place among your everyday combinations — joining them effortlessly and without any styling challenges.

The jacket features an understated silhouette with a classic collar and a practical zip fastening.

This faux leather jacket can be styled in countless ways, and within the collection it creates an especially stylish partnership with the matching faux leather skirt, which we are also introducing in Spring 2026.

Because, let’s be honest—the only thing that makes a quilted vest a little impractical is… the lack of sleeves. When it’s dry, warm, and spring is in full bloom, it’s absolutely perfect. But considering that Lithuanian spring is more often rainy than wonderfully sunny, a quilted vest alone isn’t always enough for everyday wear.

It’s a completely different story when it comes with sleeves.

Just slip on a lightweight layer with water-resistant sleeves underneath, throw the vest over the top, and head into your day knowing you’re ready for whatever the weather brings.

So finding that perfect “slip-on” piece became the main challenge of this collection.

Because when it comes to garments I genuinely believe in down to the very last stitch—and can’t wait to add to my own wardrobe—I simply can’t keep quiet.

Our Ivory-toned mini rain jacket is a true little gem, not only within this collection but also alongside the pieces already hanging in your wardrobe.

I’ve always loved clothing that comes together effortlessly while still looking incredibly stylish. This beauty is exactly that kind of piece—the sort that somehow makes you look younger without ever feeling childish.

And when you add the fact that it’s made from the very same fabric as our quilted vest (only without the insulated layer), I have to applaud our team for bringing this idea to life—giving our quilted vest the sleeves it deserved.

Do you remember my “Maple Syrup” vest? Even many years after its debut, it still regularly appears in my everyday outfits. A little “well-loved” by now, with a few permanent marks that a very observant eye might notice, but still loved beyond measure. I once said I would only let it retire when a new family member appeared in my wardrobe — one that promised to keep me just as warm and stylish as its predecessor.

Whenever we welcome a new puffer vest into a collection, I remind myself that this is not a short-lived trend.
